Who am I? What this blog is about:

Ok let's start with who I am:

My name is Tobias M. Baumann and I had my first paragliding experience in October 2005. My age is 25 and I currently live near Zurich in Switzerland. Besides paragliding I study Game Design at the HGKZ in Zurich. I studied before: Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Arts at the SAE Institute in Zurich. I wrote a pretty comprehensive study about
effective teamwork in online games. I also work at Brainstore in Biel, Switzerland. Brainstore is an ideafactory. I am charge of assessment and education of the NetScouting Freelancers. I also do freelance work as a web and graphic designer under the name of 2nd Sky. And I also do offer web hosting. Pretty much eh? :). Apart from all that I like to go out and party, play online games and simply have a good time with my friends.

But this blog shall be mainly focused on paragliding
I started this blog to write up my experiences while paragliding. I also want to share some of my views and ideas of the world in midair.

My handicap
I do have a handicap since my birth: It's a genetical defect of some X-chromosome or something. I once made a DNA test but they couldn't figure out which chromosome it was. Anyway: it mainly affects the speed of my nerves: how fast they deliver the impulses. The visible result of this is that my muscles are less strong then normal. Primarily in my hand and foot. Well it's no big deal and I don’t make one out of it. I just figured if I can fly my paraglider everyone else can ;). It is the first sport I am doing regularly.

contact me.
